National Genealogical Society

The National Genealogical Society was founded in 1903 in Washington, D.C.. Its current headquarters are in Arlington, Virginia. It is the publisher of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and the NGS Newsmagazine. Annually, in conjunction with a sponsoring local genealogical society, it stages its "Conference in the States." In 2007, the conference will be held in Richmond, Virginia, and in 2008 the meeting will be held in Kansas City, Missouri.
