National Games Week
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
National Games Week is an annual event occurring on Thanksgiving week in the U.S.A. Its purpose is to promote forms of socially interactive games. After the primary sponsor of this event (Games Quarterly magazine) passed to new owners in March of 2007, the status of the event was in doubt; however, the continuing organization of this event has been taken over by others and the event will take place as before.
The week is the brainchild of Games Quarterly magazine, which promotes non-electronic games: Board, card, role-playing, family, general interest, party, miniatures and educational games.
