The 997 route is a bus route in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. It is the highest numbered bus service in the West Midlands area.

[edit] Centro/ NXWM Partnership

Since the 17th January 2008 the 997 was brought into a small group of services under the 'Premier' brand; Other services include the 934 and 993. Due to the status of the service this involved upgrading the type of vehicles used on route from Wright Gemini's to Enviro 400's and introducing additional extras such as leather seating and air conditioning. The service also experienced a weekday timetable increase from every 20 to 15 minutes. When necessary the previously branded Wright Gemini's are used on the service.

As part of this agreement between National Express West Midlands and Centro, the service must run to it's timetable and any late running will mean passengers may request a refund, depending on measures within National Express's control.
