National Defence Complex

The National Development Complex ("NDC") is a complex located in Fateh Jang, Punjab, Pakistan. The NDC is includes a missile factory that builds nuclear-armed long-range and medium-range missiles for the Pakistan Army. NDC was founded in 1990 by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission chairman, Mr. Munir Ahmad Khan when PAEC's Special Development Works (SDW) Directorate was morphed into the National Development Complex. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand was appointed as its Director who later became its Director-General. NDC was completed in 1993 by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif , and the Shaheen missile program was assigned to the NDC in 1995. The Shaheen project uses resources available within various other institutions in Pakistan, supplemented with infrastructure at the NDC which are unique within the country. Missile components from these various facilities are brought to the NDC for final integration. The NDC operates under NESCOM. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand was the Chairmain of NESCOM.
