National Dance Institute of New Mexico

The National Dance Institute of New Mexico (NDI-NM) was founded in 1990 by Catherine Oppenheimer after NDI's first founder Jacques d'Amboise visited this fine state. The people at NDI-NM put on a huge 500 kid show in Santa Fe every year the first week in May and the last week of April some of NDI's shows are... 100 years of American Music, Route 66 Legends of the Road, Got Jazz, READ!! a Celebration of Reading, and What's the BIG idea?. Since 2003 NDI has had two advanced teams the S.W.A.T. (Super Wonderful Advanced Team) and the Celebration Team in that year NDI formed the Xcel team. In 2008 the NDI folks introduce the Junior XCel and XCel apprentice teams.

In 2004 NDI formed S.P.A. or the School for the Performing Arts since then a lot of kids have joined NDI's pre professional teams. In 2006 the people of S.P.A put on their first musical Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and in 2008 S.P.A put on their 2nd musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying the 2008 musical is still pending
