Nathaniel Barnes

Nathaniel Barnes (born 6 April 1954) is a Liberian politician and member of the Liberian Destiny Party (LDP).

Barnes was the finance minister under Charles Taylor from 1999-2001.

Running as the LDP presidential candidate in the 11 October 2005 elections, Barnes placed 12th out of 22 candidates, receiving 1.0% of the vote.[1]

In 2006 Mr. Barnes was appointed Liberia's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. See www.liberia-un.org/subpage2.html
