Nathan van Berlo (born June 6, 1986 in Perth, Western Australia[1]) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

Debuting with the Adelaide Crows in 2005 season as just an 18-year-old. He came to the Crows at the end of the 2004 season, with a very light body but a great fitness level. He played just 11 games in his first season, averaging just over 7 disposals a game.

Van Berlo had played every game until Round 11 when he broke his collarbone in a tackle. A steel rod was implanted through the centre of the bone to hold it together. It was later found out that his collarbone broke as a result of his muscles being too strong for his bones. He resumed playing in Round 17 after missing six weeks. Van Berlo played in 17 regular season matches and two finals matches to bring his career total to 30 AFL games.He is also the second best tackler when he came to the club.

Nathan continued his improvement in 2007, cementing a place in the starting 22 and averaging 19 disposals per game while coming fourth in the club tackle count. He came equal 7th in the Adelaide Crows best and Fairest.
