[edit] Character history
Nathan was friends with Justin Burton and Ali Taylor. When Nathan first appeared, Justin and Ali were jealous of him. Justin was jealous because he Nathan got to play football at school (and was better at it than him) whilst he was on probation for his rebel period and Ali was also jealous because Nathan had better football gear and better clothes than him. Nathan also played for a professional football team and let Ali and Justin come to watch him, the three became friends and he told Justin he could play for his team outside of school hours if he wanted. At first Justin wasn't allowed to go for punishment but his stepfather, Richard, let Justin play when his grades improved (only because Becca was tutoring him and he had a crush on her).
Nathan and two other characters named Paula and Candy Browne disappeared when the Hollyoaks writers had to move up the Justin/Ali/Macki bully story after Luti Fagbenle wanted out of his contract to start his own film company.
