Nathan Hallifax is a respected Australian computer graphics and visual effects artist and consultant. He has trained many of the regions most credited visual effect artists and is a popular presenter at computer graphics conferences and user groups.

He has worked as a consultant for most of Australia and New Zealand's Post houses, including Weta Digital while they were working on Lord of the Rings and King Kong; demonstrating "rig removal" and "retiming" plugins.
Hallifax is perhaps best know for his work in the second series of the science fiction television series Farscape. He was responsible for many of the computer graphic shots, specialising in particle effects and space craft design.
His work is best known for 3D particle effect work including clouds, nebulas and explosions. He has produced visual effects for: Farscape, The Wiggles movie - Space dancing, Moulin Rouge!, and a variety of TV station graphics and game cinematics.

He is Apple Computer's foremost authority on visual effects applications in the Australia/New Zealand region. He regularly demonstrates and lectures in visual effects design at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and Enmore Design center, and other colleges and universities in the region.

More recently his art work has been displayed on book covers such as, The Labour Market Ate My Baby by Barbara Pocock, The Aboriginal People Parliament and Protection by Anna Doukakis, and other social justice titles.
