Nathalie von Lahnstein (née Käppler) is a fictional character on German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). The character is portrayed by actress Jenny Winkler since November 12, 2004.
Nathalie grew up in the East Germany and lost her parents, when she flee to West Germany. She finds a new home by her aunt Elke Käppler (Elke Bludau). Fast she finds a new home at Königsbrunn and is good friends with Carla von Lahnstein (Claudia Hiersche) and her brother Leonard (Lars Korten). With Ansgar von Lahnstein (Wolfram Grandezka), Carla and Leonard's older brother, she doesn't hit off with him, but even through Nathalie had always a crush on him. With eighteen years, she left her aunt, the Lahnstein family and Königsbrunn. After ten years, Nathalie returns to Düsseldorf. At first, Ansgar doesn't remember her, but then he finds out, that she is no other than Elke's niece. Later she falls in love with the lawyer Lars Schneider (Herbert Ulrich). But Nathalie still has to deal with her feelings for Ansgar. When Lars finds out about that, he breaks up with Nathalie and leaves town to take a job offer in Hamburg. Ansgar has feelings for Nathalie too, but he is engaged with Tanja von Anstetten (Miriam Lahnstein). Tanja finds out that Ansgar wants to be with Nathalie, but she wouldn't let him. Tanja commits attempted murder on both of them, but Nathalie and Ansgar survive. After Tanja leaves town for a while, Ansgar and Nathalie get closer and have a wonderful night together. But soon, Nathalie repents the night with him. Ansgar poisons Johannes (Thomas Gumpert), his own father. Nathalie doesn't know about that know and Ansgar proposes to her and she says "yes". But not everybody is happy about that. Ansgar and Nathalie always have to fight with problems and after a one-night-stand with Gregor Mann (Andreas Jancke) and the fact that Nathalie got pregnant that night, Ansgar calls off the wedding and breaks up with her.
