Nate Meeds

Nathan V Meeds (Aug 13, 1976) more commonly known as Nate Meeds, is a Canadian sports writer residing in Arizona. He is most known for his work in founding the critically acclaimed fantasy sports website Fantasy Information Central. He worked hand in hand with Duke Castiglone to get it off the ground in yearly 2002. Meeds worked mainly as a corespondent covering the Arizona Diamondbacks

In 2003 Meeds was nominated for the Frey award for excellence in sports journalism. He was not given the award instead it was awarded to Bill Simmons of ESPN. In 2003 Meeds was ranked one of the 25 most influential writers of 2003 by the The Sporting News Online

Nate Meeds has been a contributor to several sports journalism text books including: Sports Writing: a Beginners Guide (2002), and Sports Journalism: A Practical Introduction(2005).

Nate Meeds was home schooled during High School which enabled him to graduate a year early. He then enrolled at Yavapai College where he majored in Music and Journalism. He graduated in 1997 and began working for The Red Rock News. He began a masters program at Arizona State University in 2000 but failed to complete it due to his budding sports writing career

Nate Meeds is also an accomplished guitarist who enjoys playing and performing. Between Meeds writing and performing, he is also great at billiards, and is commonly referred to by friends as a "Pool Shark" and "Billiards Baller" because of his ability to hop the cue ball into the corner pocket like a basketball player would. He is also fond of well placed humor, and finds it nearly impossible to resist an opportunity to state that "that's what she said" when laughter is sure to ensue. Beyond these things, he is also a stunningly good looking man. He has been referred to as a "sexy beast" on occasions too numerous to count. He has also been known to enjoy a nice snuggle in the California wilderness with a special certain someone of the male variety.
