Natalie von Bertouch

Natalie von Bertouch (born 16 December 1982) is the younger sister of Laura von Bertouch, both members of the Australian national netball team in 2006. She is a centre court player, as centre for Australia, and centre, wing attack or wing defence for the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
Natalie made her international debut for Australia in 2004 and with her great speed, agility and determination, has become a highly valuable member of the Australian Netball team. She is certainly one the most dynamic mid-court players in the sport, and these qualities combined with her tenacity and fitness, make her one of the best netballers in the world.
Awards that Natalie has received include:
- Player of the Match, deciding game of the Trans-Tasman series 2006
- Player of the Series - Holden test series, July 2007
- Margaret Pewtress Team of the Year 2005, 2006, 2007 (Centre position)
- South Australia awards: Tanya Denver Medal and Advertiser Player of the Year 2005
She describes playing in the Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006 as her most memorable moment. Her future goals include winning a premiership with the Adelaide Thunderbirds and continued play for the Australian Netball team.
In November 2007, Natalie played an important role in Australia's world championship victory. Over the past two years she has won numerous awards as player of the match in international fixtures, and is rated by many fans as the best centre in the world. At 25 years of age, Natalie has been touted as future leadership material for the Australian team.
Natalie credits her sister Laura and her father Terry von Bertouch, a former Australian rules football player in the SANFL, as the most influential people in her netball career.
