Natalie Avellino is a Australian netballer, who lives in Invercargill, New Zealand. She is an experienced player who made the Australia national netball team from 1994-1995, 1997-1999 and again in 2002-2003 which included key competions like three world champs and two commonwealth games. She has played for three Australian Commonwealth Bank Trophy team including Adelaide Ravens, Adelaide Thunderbirds and the Sydney Swifts. In 2004 she fell out with Australian Netball and was drafted to New Zealand playing for the Southern Sting in the National Bank Cup as a back up shooter for Donna Wilkins and Tania Dalton who then got injured. She played for the Sting until 2007 when she retired to become Southland Netball coach in the National Provincial Championships (One level down from ANZ Championship).
