Natalia Livingston (b. March 26, 1976, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania) is an American soap opera actress.

She is best known for her role as Emily Quartermaine, adoptive daughter of supercouple Alan and Monica Quartermaine on the ABC daytime soap opera, General Hospital. Livingston became the second actress to tackle the role, and aired as Emily from April 2003 through May 2008. Emily was killed in November 2007, but Livingston remained with the show as a hallucination her fiance Nikolas was having of Emily as a result of his brain tumor. In the end, Emily convinced Nikolas to have the life-saving surgery to remove his tumor, thus ending his visions of her.

Natalia Livingston was born on March 26, 1976, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania).[1][2] Her father, James Livingston, is a physician and her mother, Martha Livingston, is an artist and Spanish teacher.[2] Livingston is half Mexican and is fluent in Spanish. She was raised in Macon, Georgia.[3]

She obtained a degree in Sociology from Emory University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.[4] Livingston started acting in high school and continued her interests in acting by taking acting classes in college and participating in student films.[2] She also studied dance for twelve years.[5] After graduation she took an internship in the field of social work.[2] She later moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her acting career.[2] While working at Home Depot, she was discovered and started doing commercials for McDonalds in Spanish.[2][3]

Natalia Livingston played Emily Quartermaine, who was a breast cancer survivor. Natalia herself, once faced a cancer scare. After watching an Oprah episode on breast cancer, she perform a self-exam and found a lump in her breast. The lump turned out to be benign.[6]

Natalia Livingston currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

She dated her former General Hospital co-star Tyler Christopher from 2004 to 2005. They briefly reconciled in 2006. She is best friends with former General Hospital co-star Rebecca Herbst.[citation needed] She also maintains a close friendship with Tyler Christopher and Steve Burton.[citation needed] Recently, it was published in Soaps in Depth that she is dating Mark Thompson, brother of her General Hospital co-star Jason Thompson.

Livingston is called "Natty" by family, friends, and co-workers instead of the more formal "Natalia".

On May 20, 2005, Livingston won her first Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actress" on General Hospital.
