Nat Coombs

Nathaniel 'Nat' Coombs is a British comedian and television presenter who currently presents five's NFL coverage alongside pundit Mike Carlson.
Coombs has enjoyed a reasonably successful career in stand-up comedy, performing at leading venues across the UK and appearing regularly on radio and TV. He was a semi-finalist at the BBC New Comedy Awards and a runner-up of Stand-up Britain on ITV. His work balances a keen interest in pop culture with a satirical swagger, and he has been variously described as “incredibly stylish, with up-to-the-minute stuff” by John Pidgeon and “like The Strokes beating the s*** out of Westlife in a car park” in Time Out magazine.
Coombs has also worked on many television shows as a talking head, such as 100 Greatest Tearjerkers on Channel 4 and 101 Most Embarrassing Celebrity Moments on five. He is also an accomplished actor and most notably appeared in the BAFTA-nominated BBC drama Can You Hear Me Thinking? alongside Judi Dench
As a comedy writer and performer he has worked with some of the UK's leading production companies including the BBC, Endemol, Granada, Shine, SMG, North One, Channel X, Monkey, Pearson, Diverse and Lion and he is currently working on a major project with ITV, launching in 2008.
Since September 2007, Coombs has been presenting five's coverage of Monday Night Football. He has followed the National Football League since he was a child and is a fan of the Miami Dolphins. He is also a fan of the UK soccer team West Ham United who he watches regularly.
