[edit] Image:HafrsfjordSwords.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:HafrsfjordSwords.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 01:42, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiquette alert

FYI. I've filed a Wikiquette alert about Anthon.Eff's behavior. I don't know if anything will come out of it, however. –panda 19:26, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page blanking

Regarding your recent blanking of Trønder - page blanking is never an acceptable way to delete an article. Page blanking can be considered vandalism, and can result in you being blocked from editing. To learn about how to list an article for deletion properly, please see Wikipedia:Deletion process. — Swpbtalk.edits 20:07, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Kristin Halvorsen

Kristins løftebrudd er relevant for artikkelen, akkurat som Watergate skulle være relevant for Richard Nixon. Nastykermit (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 09:54, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

There are a number of critical errors to the comment added about Halvorsen. First, the election was in 2005, not in 2006. Second, there are used a number of wiesel words that should be avoided in Wikipedia. But the most critical part, and the reason for me reverting your edit was that the last sentence, "and this is today seen as one of the biggest lies and broken promises made a Norwegian politician." cannot under any way be seed as encyclopedic. The problem lays in that the claim cannot be verifiable for the population as a whole. And even if some people feel this way, it would be incorrect to generalize about the topic as such. Further, you should be careful (even if it is difficult sometimes) when writing about living people, even if they are politicians. This whole claim should be verified through independent third-party sources. Don't be surprised if it is removed if this claim cannot be verified. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia; remember to be bold. Arsenikk (talk) 22:04, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
