[edit] TERRA

NASA. Welcome to Wikipedia. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Please refrain from simply dumping information from the NASA site into the article. In general, such information can be copyrighted (although not in this case). If you read the existing article, you'll see I took great care in writing it in the Wiki style. Thanks. Keep up the good work so far.-- Decumanus 21:14, 15 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Hey, no problem. I'm going to rewrite the paragraph somewha again. It's too much in a NASA publicity release style still, but thanks for the correction on the name of program. -- Decumanus 21:24, 15 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Yeah, I think a photograph of the launch and of the satellite would be highly appropriate. We have a lot of Terra photographs in Wikipedia in many articles (I use them for maps) but amazingly there was no article on the satellite itself until now! -- Decumanus 21:32, 15 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Great choice of graphics for Terra (satellite). -- Decumanus 08:29, 16 Feb 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Comments on Plautus satire

Your comments are requested on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Plautus satire. →Raul654 05:29, Feb 19, 2004 (UTC)

I note that you're contributing NASA (the US aerospace agency) works. Please confirm that you are acting in an official capacity on behalf of NASA. Jamesday 22:04, 19 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for clarifying that you don't work for NASA. However,I think you want to contribute articles about NASA and every time you do, it creates the impression that it's NASA itself which is contributing. Can I persuade you to switch the name to something which is less likely to be confusing in the area in which you want to contribute? Anything which doesn't so obviously appear to be officially NASA would work and one of the developers can simply switch the name, without you having to do anything other than agree to do it and make the request? [edit] Image:Rxj1242 comp.jpg

Thank you for uploading the above image. It is currently tagged {{unverified}}. Can you please tag with the appropriate copyright. Thanks, EyeBall 18:07, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Thousands of images have no copyright tags. You can help!

[edit] IMAGE TAG

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status?

You can use {{gfdl}} if you wish to release your own work under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use of someone else's work, and so on. Click here for a list of the various tags.

If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the image from, and I'll tag it for you. (And if you know exactly what this means and are really tired of the constant reminders, please excuse me. They will stop once the tagging project is complete.) Thanks so much. Denni 03:47, 2004 Dec 16 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at Wikipedia:Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Also unverified is: Image:1915-28.png. Please provide a source and tag. Thanks, Oliver Lineham 02:53, 2004 Dec 20 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logo-nasa-800px.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-nasa-800px.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:32, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Wrong Planet

An editor has nominated Wrong Planet, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wrong Planet and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 14:23, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
