The differences between the original and proposed submission are mostly retrograde. There is less information, it is less objective, it is less international in perspective and more nationalistic, it is is poorly written, and it uses absurd superlatives. What is a "exquisite" role in national development? It is not "of delicate perception and close discrimination", which is what exquisite means. The original obituary was an attempt to be objective Nasreen Huq's work and commitment to the development of Bangladesh, mainly through her work with Naripokkho. Factual errors can be corrected justifiably, but the deletion of details of her life do not make a positive contribution to the entry. If the aim is to produce an obituary using a defined format, then this can be achieved using the original text. I would be happy to do that. If the aim is to change the title, then surely that can be done by someone?
