[edit] Worst Fans

I am removing the remark about having the "worst fans" unless someone can provide a valid source.

[edit] Catfish throwing

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) has been throwing catfish on the ice at their hockey games (it is tradition to throw one after the first home goal of the season) since before the Predators even existed. So I think it's safe to say that this tradition didn't start in Nashville 71.207.223.60 07:03, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of Nashville Predators players

There is a List of Nashville Predators players. When adding players to the Nashville page, could you also add them to the list? Thanks! Masterhatch 17 August 2005

[edit] Captain's List

interim-captain's shouldn't be on this list (or any NHL team's list). If all interim captains were listed, there'd be 20-30 names on each NHL teams captain's list. Does anyone agree? Mightberight/wrong 20:24, 10 November 2005 (UTC).

[edit] Future of the team

After losing in the first round of the playoffs for the third year in a row, despite being one of the NHL's best teams all season and making the biggest trade deadline move, there has been much speculation about the future of the team, not to mention the franchise. Barry Trotz doesn't have a contract for next season, and Nashville must make decisions on several key free agents. It is quite possible that the team will turn in a new direction. Also there have been issues with Nashville not getting enough corporate support, and struggling to get enough attendance to qualify for revenue sharing income. There has been speculation that the team might move to Kansas City or somewhere else if corporate support continues to be an issue. Can someone include something about this? The 2007 offseason figures to be somewhat of a turning point in the franchise's history.

If there are sourced items worthy of inclusion, no doubt someone will do so. Until then, speculation about the team's future is the province of The Tennessean, not of Wikipedia.  RGTraynor  13:43, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ownership

Reverted the ownership to Craig Leipold, as he is still the owner of the Predators until the deal closes in late-June. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.158.183.205 (talk) 11:23, May 27, 2007

Me too. Except someone just completely got rid of "owner" instead of just changing the name when I had to re-add it. BsroiaadnTalk 05:42, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
ditto ecept they changed name but not the flag, so only had to change back ownership. if someone is going to make the change you would hope at least they would canadianise the "new owner" as well..Childhoodtrauma 23:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Additional information could be added about Boots DelBiaggio when the dust settles on his current Federal investigation for bank fraud and his recent bankruptcy filing. Source: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_9503612 But, this part of the Predators' story is still a "news" item and should be tabled until it settles out. Chacon (talk) 23:30, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't know...the effect should only be the fact that Boots is booted from the ownership group, either bought out or whatever. He's not the majority owner, or even the face of the team. "DelBaggio was removed from the ownership group in 2008 following his delcaration of bankruptcy" will be all that is needed, as it is a mere footnote in the entire saga. [edit] Comments

No jersey section. Needs one complete with info and pics. Team mascot needs to be mentioned also. Franchise history is too small and not detailed enough. The last three season are explained OK...but what about before? Every season should be mentioned, with details and stats. After that, their last three successful seasons should be highlighted more, with bigger paragraphs and more details. Is it mentioned that Barry Trotz has been the only head coach ever employed by the organization? And how during the last three seasons the team has gone from bottom-tier NHL team to a top-contender in the Western Conference? These things should be emphasized. Love each other, or perish. ~Auden 01:21, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

did some of this :-) Bwilkins 13:29, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Section303.png

Image:Section303.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
