[edit] "Remodeling" this page

I'm almost done, and though I think it's looking good, some parts I fucked up on and others I still need to work on, I'll try to spend the few hours of the week I'm going to spend on Wikipedia trying to improve these articles. I Am Ri¢h! 02:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

These are the official chart listing according to billboard.com. Hip Hop is technically uncertified because I checked RIAA database but has sold 700K so its technically Gold but hasnt been certified for it yet. Do not put UK chart history unless you can put it on all the albums. makes no sense to put it on some and not on others. --Samil20 13:45, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Fixed Hip Hop Is Dead release date. Someone had the date for his previous album (Nov 30 2004) instead of Dec 19 2006.Nickshoes 14:12, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Fixed the album chart history info and certifications according to RIAA database and billboard chart history. Deleted Escobar 97 single because it was not a Nas single, it was from the Men In Black OST.--Samil Molina 20:45, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

someone should fix hiphop is deads sales. it has reached platnum.

There is no source confirming the platinum status of Hip Hop Is Dead.--198.110.74.147 13:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

The Firm album went platinum and this is confirmed by Dr. Dre, Nas and Aftermath. The source cited is the incorrect one, that is a different group called the firm, look at it closely--Sosa 01:52, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

No news on "The N' Word" his new album that is dropping in December? Dead Presidents III is the first single off of it feat. Jay-z, from what I have heard. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.229.171.19 (talk) 19:25, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Covers

Please why did you change the model of the page? It looked much better with the

Album cover Album information

^ this one looks so much better including the images and backround. Football 7 15:08, 16 May 2007 (UTC) YA;; DO KNOW THAT HIP HOP IS DEAD IS (AND HAS BEEN)PLATNIUM? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alxdaarsonist (talk • contribs) 00:16, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Keep in mind that RIAA certification listed are for how many sales in the U.S. not worldwide. Hip Hop Is Dead sold over 1 million worldwide but just over 750,000 U.S. so it is not certified Platinum. www.RIAA.com/searchabledatabase —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.110.74.102 (talk) 12:34, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of Nas Songs

No, let the List of Nas songs in it's own article... this one's too full for it... Football 7 13:33, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Future release

Stop removing the content from both this page and Nas' main. Every other discography includes future releases and that, so why should we have a special rule for this one saying not having future releases. And specially a discography should include ALL albums including unreleased and future releases. The Nas preview discography in the main page is for SOLO albums (studio, official albums) no matter if they have been released or are going to be released later, but unreleased albums that was never out in public should NOT be added in the main page. --West Coast - Ryda 11:50, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah if Nigger is allowed to be kept, it's obviously allowed here. I don't see why this is such a big deal. It's still a studio album even if it's not released. Spellcast 07:37, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why

Whoever is going around and changing the "x" symbol next to the number on multi-platinum certifications: please stop. It's completely unecessary and simply looks stupid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.224.167.134 (talk) 23:31, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

The multiplication sign (×) is correct. It stands for "times". An album is "two times platinum", not "2 ex platinum". Even the RIAA use it in their searchable database. Spellcast (talk) 02:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
