Talk:Nas (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The page for Nas(ir Jones) is now at Talk:Nas (rapper). There were five other uses of the term "NAS," so it only felt right to make this page a disambiguation page. All comments have been moved there as well. --b. Touch 10:11, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- It might have been better to use the page NAS for disambiguation. I'm combining the two now —User:Mulad (talk) 04:18, May 7, 2005 (UTC)
- _ _ NAS and Nas indeed belong on the same Dab page.
- _ _ I'm not doing anything about the questionable move from Nas (rapper) to Nas, which required the move of the Dab Nas to Nas (disambiguation). I'm sympathetic to the fear (that i infer) of Nas being buried among the many obscure abbreviations, but i suspect (in contrast to Iman) that the person is less notable than the religious usage, and that an-Nas deserves at least equal visibility with the rapper Nas. If others agree, and want to reverse the renaming, the sectioning i've added may help respond to that legitimate concern.
--Jerzy•t 19:37, 17 July 2006 (UTC) - Agreed; the rapper is hardly so notalbe nor the other NASs so obscure as to justify owning the "nas" page. I don't pay much attention to rappers, but I know of Eminim, P-diddy (or whatever Sean Combs calls himself now), Dr Dre, Tu Pac, TQ, and a few more, but not nas.
-Nas is very successful in the rap industry and is considered lyrically more talented than most of those rappers listed, with the exception of Tu-Pac and maybe Dr. Dre. Nas's success is far more notable than any of the other mentions for "Nas." -Anonymous (I'm unsure how to sign anonymous-my account I had I have forgotten the password to)
Hi, could you revert the page "nas" to this disambiguation page? There's anough "NAS"-acronyms for the move. I thing "Nas" could revert to "Nas". --89.27.15.209 16:15, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
