Nastasen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nastasen was a king of the North African Nubian civilisation of Kush (335 - 310/5 BC). He left an inscription at Gebel Barkal that mentions his military expeditions to the east of his kingdom, in the same area as his predecessor Harsiotef. Another inscription at Napata (now in the Berlin Museum) relates his victory over an invading force from upper Egypt under the command of Pharaoh Khababash.

He was the last Kushite king to be buried in the royal cemetery at Napata. Subsequent kings were interred at Meroe.
