Nasreena Ibrahim

Nasreena Ibrahim is the First Lady of the Maldives, wife of President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.

A member of one of the influential high society families of the Maldives and is the wife of the current President of the Maldives, Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. While not an active politician, Nasreena is known to have great influence on the country's policies, not only because she is the First Lady, but also as her siblings either are or have been, influential Cabinet ministers (see Ilyas Ibrahim and Abbas Ibrahim).

Nasreena is one of the founding members of the Society for Health Education (SHE), one of the first charity based Non-governmental organisations in the maldives, that works in a variety of health fields, but particularly in Thalassemia and Women's Health.
