Naseem Achakzai (Urdu: نسیم اچکزئ) (born Quetta, Pakistan, 1960) is renowned Poet, scholar and writer in Pashto, Urdu and English. He is Assistant Professor of English Literature and Language of Department of English, University of Balochistan.

His Specialization is in Doctorate in “Shakespeare’s Use of Five Senses in his Five Tragedies” which is submitted November, 2007, in the University of Balochistan Quetta, Pakistan.

[edit] Academic, literary and Social services

Social Work: One of the founder members and Account Secretary of Al-Shafe (NGO) donates blood, medicine and wheel-chairs to the helpless patients, in Civil Hospital Quetta Pakistan, since 1985.

Joined the International Committee of the Red Cross in Quetta, on 18th March 1985, as an employee, teaching English Language to the Staff and foreigners. Served the Organization as a translator and interpreter in dissemination, gatherings and programs. Made a Video Film in 1989 with the ICRC’s delegate Mr. Ronald Bigler about an instruction book: ‘Combatants’ Class Room’ on war prisoners and being the writer of the script carried out the sound recording of the music and dialogues. Played one of the characters of the War Prisoner. Taught English, Urdu and Pashto to the French and Italian delegates.

Poetry and dramas contain the touch of Natural environment. Played the main role of a farmer, whose apple orchards were destroyed by flood in one of docu-dramas.
