Nasa silver mine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nasa silver mine (Swedish: Nasa silvergruva), located on Nasa Mountain on the border between Sweden and Norway, was used for mining silver in the early 17th and late 18th centuries. Although it was a commercial fiasco, and never delivered much silver, it was historically important as it contributed to the development of infrastructure in this part of Lappland, most notably the Nasa trail and the city of Arjeplog.
