NASCAR Arcade is an video arcade racing game that was released in 2000 and was produced by Sega-AM3 using the Sega Hikaru Board. The graphics run at a speed of 60 frames per second; giving players a very realistic sense of Winston Cup excitement[3]. Manual transmission is mandatory and there are five gears (1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, and neutral).
Players in the game include Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Terry Labonte. Possible race tracks to choose are: Richmond International Raceway (oval), Talladega Speedway (oval) or Watkins Glen International (road course). The goal of the game is to finish the race in either first, second, or third before time runs out. Time is extended for each lap the player completed and for overtaking vehicles on the race course.[4]
In the Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby movie that featured Will Ferrell's Ricky Bobby character, this game was used with footage from NASCAR 06: Total Team Control, which was actually released 5 years after this game was released.
