[edit] What I Think Is Good About Wikipedia
- It fights the modern notion that knowledge is rival and mutually exclusive.
- It encourages participation, the precursor to change.
- It challenges the notion that what seems to be is what is. The very concept of the wiki means that what you read may not necessarily be correct. This, in turn, leads you to question the accuracy of what you read. This, in turn, leads you to correct the incorrect, and challenge traditionally held ideas. It encourages you to perceive the world through your own eyes, rather than someone elses.
