Talk:Narayana
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am not sure if "Ayana" in sanskrit means without ending. The name of vishnu when formless and endless is Anantha and not Narayana. Also, Narayana is depicted standing with the four arms holding an ayudha (or weapon) in each arm (Shanka - Conch, Chakra, Gadha - Mace, Padma - Lotus)helping a human through the 4 directions/aims of a human life (Purusharthas)- Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.

Also, the mantra provided in the Narayana Kavacha is "Om Namo Narayanaya" and not "Om Namo Narayana"
