Narsipatnam is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 58 metres (190 feet).

As of 2001 India census[2], Narsipatnam had a population of 32,483. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Narsipatnam has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 58%. In Narsipatnam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
