As of 2001 India census[2], Narsinghgarh had a population of 27,657. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Narsinghgarh has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 57%. In Narsinghgarh, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Narsinghgarh is a very beautiful city for the purpose of tourism. It is termed as the "Mini Kashmir" of Madhya Pradesh. Rainy season is the best to enjoy the natural beauty of Narsinghgarh. The main tourist attractions are Bada Mahadev Mandir, Chota Mahadev Mandir, Gupteshwar Mahadev Mandir, Nadiya Pani, Kodu Pani, Narsinghgarh Fort, Badi Hanuman Gadi, Choti Hanuman Gadi. There is also one wild sanctury nearby Narsinghgarh, which is also called "Paradise of Peacock".

Narsinghgarh is home town of Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh. He belongs to the royal family and were former Governor of Goa.
