Narana Coissoró

Narana Sinai Coissoró (b. October 3, 1933) is a Portuguese lawyer and politician of the right-wing Democratic and Social Center / People's Party (Portuguese: Centro Democrático e Social/Partido Popular - CDS/PP).

Of Hindu Goan origin, by which he has blue eyes, Narana Coissoró is a former deputy to the Assembly of the Republic (the Portuguese Parliament; see Politics of Portugal) and is presently president of the Institute of Oriental Studies, in Lisbon.

He is married to Teresa da Costa Brandão, born at Caldas da Rainha, by whom he has a son Smitá da Costa Brandão Coissoró.
