The Naples Beach Club was built in the 1880’s and originally named The Naples Hotel. The hotel's original location was 1.5 miles south of its current location and offered the first 18-hole golf course in the area.
In 1930, the beachfront hotel, along with the golf course and the original Naples Hotel, were used as staff quarters. In the 1970’s the original buildings were torn down, but the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club remained and has been maintained to this day. Modern renovations include a new Clubhouse and Spa and upgraded guest rooms and suites. The current hotel is owned by third generation Watkins heirs, Michael and Henry Watkins III, and includes 318 rooms on a 125 acre hotel complex.
