[edit] Nao Yuuki and other HiME-Otome characters

We have this, but no page for Yuuki. Do we make another for Yuuki or integrate her info into this one and rename the page, similar to the treatment for Natsuki's article? --Warp L. Obscura 07:41, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

I vote to rename it to Nao Yuuki, and make it like every other My-HiME character page. Linkforlife 08:34, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

I vote for the renaming the ones in question. I'll also see if I can find the other contributors for these pages. Katsuhagi 16:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Speaking of which, some other characters like Chie Hallard and Mashiro Blan de Windbloom have articles only for their Otome counterparts and not their HiME versions. What say you about them? Could you also please help gather the frequent contributors to these two animes' articles so that we can have a discussion on this? --Warp L. Obscura 14:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

So all three of us are in agreement, right? Should we seek further consensus or just go for it? --Warp L. Obscura 03:25, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

It should be fine to just do it, but before we change the names I think at least a rough outline should be written for the characters, instead of just changing the name and calling it a day. Linkforlife 16:57, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Chie's page moved to Chie Harada. Now for the other two... I think we might have an issue with Mashiro's. Do you think there will be a size concern about it, given that Manshiro's considerably hefty story (being the protagonist of the MO manga and all) is covered? --Warp L. Obscura 02:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Chie's page currently says "In the alternate universe My-Otome, her name was changed to Chie Hallard" - I don't think it has ever been stated that Otome was an alternate universe (in fact there were hints that it may be set in the future in the same universe) so it may be better to say something neutral like "her My-Otome counterpart.." (or preferrable something more intelligent that I can't come up with myself at 2am) Shiroi Hane 01:54, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
I just followed the pre-existing standard of describing MO as such. Might I suggest you seek out the very first editor who described it as such and resolve the issue directly with him/her? --Warp L. Obscura 11:20, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Insufficiently formal?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what improvements we need to make in order to make the article "formal" enough and enable us to remove the "tone" tag? The thing has long become an eyesore. --Warp L. Obscura 09:14, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I personally think it doesn't need the tag anymore, as it's been several months since it was there. Katsuhagi 16:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
I'll let the honour be yours, then. :D --Warp L. Obscura 10:31, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Just to let you guys know, I was the one who originally placed the tag there. I had been meaning to make a reply to this but it slipped my mind when I went to do something else <_<. I fully agree that now the tag is unneeded. -- Tydus Arandor 00:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nao's element and child.jpg

Image:Nao's element and child.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
