Nammavar is a Tamil language film starring Kamal Haasan and Gouthami in lead roles. Kamal Hassan plays a revolutionary lecturer/vice principal of a college. P.Nirmala(Choreographer Brinda) wins the Sakthivel college election over Ramesh(Karan) who is the son of the college trustee, Velusamy. So Ramesh starts a riot in college. Meanwhile, Dr. Selvam (Kamal Hassan) is appointed as vice principal. Dr. Selvam tries to reform the college, but Ramesh spoils his every attempt. The rest of the movie goes around how Dr. Selvam reforms Ramesh.
