Nalut

Nalut (Arabic: نالوت‎)is the capital of Nalut Municipality in Libya, situated at the western end of the Jebel Nafusa coastal range and is home to a Berber granary and community. It lies approximately half way between Tripoli and Ghadames with a (2005) population estimated at 55,000. It is also home to the Alal'a Mosque (Nalut's oldest), which was rebuilt in 1312.
