Naliboki massacre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Naliboki massacre was the mass killing of 128 Poles in the village of Naliboki, Minsk Voblast, on May 8, 1943, by the Soviet partisans (including the Jewish unit of Bielski partisans). The partisans reported killing of 250, pillage and destruction of German police station. In reality the number of victims was lower and no German was present/killed, only one Belorussian policeman was sleeping there.
There existed an agreement between the Soviet partisans and local people represented by a self-defense unit. The Soviets didn't respect the agreement and invaded the village to destroy the unit, but killed also a number of civilians.
