The North Korean Najin-class frigates are some of the largest vessels in the Korean People's Navy. They bear a striking resemblance to ex-Soviet Kola class frigates, which they may be based on. They were built in North Korea as an attempt at a blue-water navy, however their vintage equipment (most from the 1950s) precluded their usefulness in any combat situation. They are unable to coordinate their gunfire, and the ship must be at or near a complete halt to use its full sensor array.
