Najiba Ahmad

Najiba Ahmad [nəɟibə əħməd] (* 1954 in Kirkuk) is a contemporary Kurdish writer and poet. She was born in Kirkuk, in northern Iraq. She studied Kurdish language and literature at the University of Sulaimaniya and worked as a teacher for many years before she joined the Kurdish liberation movement. She has published two volumes of her short stories and two novels.
