Chief Naiche (c. 1856-1919) was the second son of Cochise and was named after his grand father Dos-Teh-Seh, the older one being Chief Taza[1]. During his adolescence, Naiche got to know Geronimo. As a medicine man, Geronimo acted as a teacher for him. Upon the death of his father Cochise, Naiche's brother Taza became the chief, however only two years later he died, and the office went to Naiche. In the 1880's, Naiche and Geronimo successfully went to war together. At last, Naiche settled in Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Naiche's descendants recently live in Mescalero, New Mexico and is the largest family living there. So are Cochise's and Taza's. Everybody knows who's related to him and who's not.
