Naharkatiya is a town and a town area committee in Dibrugarh district in the Indian state of Assam.

As of 2001 India census[1], Naharkatiya had a population of 15,528. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Naharkatiya has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 74%. In Naharkatiya, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
