[edit] Conceptual Metaphor

The Nagual acts to teach the apprentice to stop using reason to back up his view of the world. To teach the apprentice that Reality is not limited to empirical observations and mesurements of the phenominal World. It is always in a state of flux. That said, all descriptions pertaining to the use of a conceptual metaphor[1] should be NOT in encyclopedic style so as NOT TO CAUSE THE READER TO THINK that these ARE statements of fact.

The fact is that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and so its pages should reflect that. If I understand your comment, you are suggesting either that this entry should be removed, or that references to the invented nature of Castaneda's concept of the nagual should be stressed in the article. I support the latter. -Tom Mmyotis (talk) 15:40, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling

Carlos Castaneda spelled his last name without the diacritical mark over the letter 'n', although there are other people with essentially the same last name who do include that diacritic over the 'n'. You should fix this, including in the title of the article.

Agreed. The spelling makes no sense since Castaneda never used the ñ in his name. -Tom Mmyotis (talk) 15:35, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
