Talk:Naga

[edit] Some notes.

I noticed that the fantasy Naga was deleted by Garwig and not restored by 67.21.80.96. This is clearly a mistake; note that that Naga page links to a different one. It's entirely valid to have, say, a different page for dwarves in actual mythology compared to dwarves based off Tolkien & later. It's the same here. As for the Nagas in video games... I'll admit it's a tenuous connection, and that list is probably hideously incomplete, so it's a more reasonable deletion, but it seems somewhat okay for a disambig page. So I agree with 67.21.80.96 restoring it.

As for Darin Brown, people interested in his article can find out his psuedonyms. Even extremely notable people shouldn't really have entries just saying "Naga was once used as a screenname by Linus Torvalds" or whatever. He seems pretty far on the edge for notability if he "sometimes" is a guest-artist. Unless he was truly only known as Naga and this is a very notable figure, I'm in favor of deleting it and leaving this in the Darin Brown article or linked from the webcomic articles.

As for the Not a Golfer's Asshole definition, can someone go into that in more detail & confirm this? Google is a bit confused on the issue, showing other possible renditions, and this seems fairly niche. SnowFire 20:47, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry if I forgot to add something back, did you restore it? -- 21:38, 5 May 2006 (EST)

Yah, it's all good now. That said, as I noted in the edit summary, perhaps that information should go into Naga (Fantasy) as well, or perhaps instead of? I'll leave that as your call.

I don't really see the necessity.

The new entry about a marsupial looks fishy (not even a link, etc.), but not being a marsupialologist, I'm not ready to delete it as yet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Piledhigheranddeeper (talkcontribs) 16:36, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
