Nagisa Katahira

In this Japanese name, the family name is Katahira.

Nagisa Katahira (片平なぎさ Katahira Nagisa?), born July 12, 1959) is a Japanese television actress with the Horipuro company.

At the time of her debut, she was a singer. Later, her interest turned to acting, and now she has become known as the "Queen of the two-hour drama." She has also starred in several jidaigeki, including the title role as the vigilante Kurenai in Tembatsuya Kurenai, and most recently, in family dramas, including Tenka, an NHK morning serial. Her career has included commercials and personality appearances.

Nagisa has kept company with Ikue Sakakibara. They have their age in common, as well as the talent agency, Horipro.
