Nagewadi

Nagewadi is a small village near Satara city in Maharashtra state of India. This village is based across Pune - Bangalore national highway number 4 and is 11 km away from Satara city. Nagewadi is a famous for Goddess Shakambhari Devi temple and also for Goddess MariMata, Kalikadevi.

This village is mostly dependent on Farm products and money orders coming from Mumbai. This village was established by a person named Veer some 500 years ago, and entire village is of Sawant family, except some guests families.

To visit this village from Satara side, catch Satara - Wai bus from Satara State Transport Bus Stand and get down at Nagewadi bus stop.
