[edit] Beer drinking in Japan
There are only 2 people in both categories beer drinkers and wikipedians in Japan? I'm shocked, given the number of expats I know messing around on wikipedia and who are also borderline alcoholics. I haven't heard of beer advocate.com, but I'm checking it out now... Nobunaga24 05:21, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Islam in Japan
Interesting. I had been reading about that very subject a few months ago. Let me see if I can locate the sources I was reading, and I'll get back to you with some URL's and book titles. I was actually doing it as part of a bunkasai at my school. Nobunaga24 07:56, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] An Invitation

Thanks for the sentiment, but I'd rather reserve my ability to boundlessly flare tempers free of real-life concenquences! freshgavinΓΛĿЌ 00:18, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Adding new articles
Thanks for your message. You should be able to create an article at any valid name. However, it appears we already have an article on Saison. As for other articles where it doesn't immediately give you the "edit page" when you search, what you need to do is look at the very top left corner of the page where it says, "You searched for "Saison" ". If you click that link, it should either take you to the page or take you to the creation page. Let me know if this doesn't work for you. Thanks again for your message, and always feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 17:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- On further review, it looks like YOU were the one who created the Saison article, so it appears you found out how to do it without my assistance. Anyway, always feel free to message me about anything and I'll help you in any way I can. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 17:28, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Torulaspora delbrueckii
I am learning that I need to put in information when I edit, move, merge and create articles. So when someone like yourself asks a question I can give a sensible and informed answer. I can't remember the formation of the article in question. Whatever you do with Torulaspora delbrueckii is fine by me. Cheers! SilkTork 08:45, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RateBeer / BeerAdvocate
You know, of course, that the two sites are sworn enemies. Theoretically we shouldn't even be speaking to each other, unless it's to hurl insults! I made a small alteration to the Saison piece (which is a great article - I'm pleased there is someone else on the site who doesn't just have an enthusiasm for beer, but a knowledge of beer, and an ability to write clearly). Saison is not really a style in itself - it's more of a name for beer from the region. Saisons belong to the Pale Ale style - along with Bitter and American Pale Ale. Everyone who has done a little research into Saisons comes up with the same conclusion - the beer has no stylistic certainities and Saisons are more unlike each other than they are like other Pale Ales. Anyway - great to hear from you. Let's keep in touch. Cheers! SilkTork 12:23, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
"Everyone." Yes - ouch! Sweeping word. Usually used to bully and badger people into acceptance. What I should have done was use the names of a couple of people, such as Joris Pattyn, Phil Markowski, Tomme Arthur, etc. People who have recently researched and written good books on Saisons. SilkTork 08:07, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, at least my name isnt Joris. :) Naerhu 08:47, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Roman Emperor Diocletian to help defeat the Blemmys
Hey, Hi, How are you? I am writing for you advice regarding the Nobatia page. It says, "Roman Emperor Diocletian to help defeat the Blemmys" But the Blemmys are mythical according to wikipedia. Can you help? Naerhu 07:34, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi! Apologies for the delayed reply. As a matter of historical fact, this is obvious nonsense. But I have no qualms with it long as it is clearly labelled as myth and does not get into any serious articles or sections concerned with historical facts. In fact, I wouldnt mind too much if it were mentioned in Diocletian in fiction. Though I'm not going to add it. I've never heard/read this story before, so I'm unsure as to its source...And even myths and legends should be, if possible, traced to their sources. Thank you for bringing this interesting matter to my attention. Cheers, --R.D.H. (Ghost In The Machine) 23:14, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Beer cats question
Hi again Naerhu. It has been suggested by User:BrianSmithson and supported by User:Syrthiss that the Beer and brewery categories should be renamed. This proposal has been supported and expanded by myself. The notion is that the regional categories should follow the format of "Beer and breweries in Africa" /Europe/Asia/North America/South America/Oceania. "Brewers and breweries" could also be renamed "Beer and breweries by region". And all the countries should also be renamed (and merged if needed) as, for example, "Beer and breweries of Germany", "Beer and breweries of Britain", "Beer and breweries of Poland". Te word in each case would be beer rather than beers to allow for general articles on beer culture in each region as well as individual beers.

[edit] Virus article
Could you please use the information on this Japanese-language page to update the English Virus article? It would be much appreciated! --AlanH 01:54, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- Um . . . What particularly about the English article needs updating? I know nothing of viruses.
[edit] Sake
My name is Simon. I did a little work on Sake most of it anonimus. This because I work on the Dutch site about Sake and Sake already keeps me bussy. You have added a lot of good information about Sake to the site but now I see that Sake is related to beer brewing? Can you look at the article again please. I don´t have time for Sake to check the English version about Sake and the Dutch. If not I will also look after the english site. Just let me now. Best regards Sake-simon 02:09, 5 May 2006 (UTC) Check also my site at http://www.sake.nl/

[edit] Request to you
Hello, Mr. Naerhu. My name is Hatto. I live in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Please answer to me in Japanese language if you can write Japanese character by using your computer because it's easy for me to speak Japanese and I'm not good at English. I have a request to you. Its request is article's expansion and changing it to clean English! I'd like you to expand unfinished parts into complete article and make it clean because "rough translation" tag is inserted in the article. Maybe, it's so bad English because some sentences are translated and added from references by myself. I tell you the article I request if you are interested in this request. Please answer. --Hatto 07:51, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Erika Sawajiri
I hope the article no longer says, people are owned by corporations! Garrie 21:36, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category Osaka
Hey, just thought I'd point you in the direction of a new category I created: Category:Wikipedians in Osaka. Figured there might be enough Wikipedians living in Osaka to make it worthwhile. --Brad Beattie (talk) 03:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vegan in Japan
You're a vegan in Japan? You must spend most of your time really hungry. Naerhu 07:01, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Tell me about it. Eating in restaurants is a fairly tricky thing to do, especially considering that I can't speak or read Japanese. :P On the up side, it means I've learned how to cook most of the cuisine on my own. Inarizushi? Yes please! --Brad Beattie (talk) 13:44, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Translation requested
Hi, I've come into possession of a very old katana. I've noticed you have marked yourself as a native speaker of Japanese... is there any chance you could help me translate the writing on the tang? Thanks, ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 23:30, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Heya
I here you saw sasha grey's real name. Was it Greek? Reaper7 (talk) 22:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw a name that was published in several places that was allegedly hers. I dont remember if the name was Greek or not. Though, I wouldn't be able to turn her down, if she offered me some Greek.
