When I first heard about attempts to create a free encyclopedia, I was rather skeptical, even more so for a public wiki, and I ignored the project. Eventually, in 2003, I noticed that Wikipedia entries kept coming up as high-ranked results in Google searches and my interest was piqued again.
I primarily use Wikipedia as a source of information, i.e. I'm a reader. As opportunity presents itself, I may contribute a bit.
