Nadia is a word originating in the holy Qur'an and is used as an Arabic name. The name is usually given to a Muslim girl's name, but the use has spread and has developed different meanings in different languages and cultures. However, the original meanings or the Arabic/Quranic meanings are: "the first", "the caller", or "a group of people".

I removed the information below from the article because: [1] it does not have a reference, [2] I believe it is nonsense.

This name is also used in the Middle East where it originates from Arabic (ندية), from the Qur'an. It was first used as a name in the Muslim world and later in the Western world. The meaning of this word in Arabic is "the caller" or "the announcer" of God, and also 'the beginning / the first'. In some European origins, it means "the first dawn on a flower" and means hope in most other European origins. The name Nadia is also mentioned in the Quran as being the name of a goddess worshipped in pre- Islamic Arabia. The meaning is also in Greek Myth: the one loved of Curtis the honest nymph of the 7 Nymphs of Pericles.
