Nadine Trintignant

Nadine Trintignant (byname of Nadine Marquand, born November 11, 1934) is a French cineast and author. She is also a film director, producer, and screenwriter with extensive film credits from the 1960s to the present.

A native of Nice, Trintignant is the sister of Christian Marquand, the wife of Jean-Louis Trintignant (married 1960-1976) and the mother of Marie Trintignant, who was killed in 2003. She had two other children with Jean-Louis, a son Vincent and a daughter Pauline. Pauline died of crib death in 1969.

She wrote a book after her daughter Marie was killed.
