Nadathara is a census town in Thrissur district in the Indian state of Kerala.

As of 2001 India census[1], Nadathara had a population of 12,593. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Nadathara has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 86%, and female literacy is 82%. In Nadathara, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. Nadathara is just 5 kilometres from Thrissur city. The major locations at Nadathara include- The Nadathara Farmers Co-0perative Bank, Msgr. John Palocaren Memorial Hall, Joseph Kundukulam Memorial Hall. Both Christians and Hindus dominte this place. Muslims are a minority. Nadathara is well connected by road. National Highway passes through this place. Some of the places within Nadathara are JP Nagar, Elanjikulam, Minor Road & Palocaren Avenue. Sacred Heart Church is one of the major attraction of this place. It is also a gateway to other places like Valkkavu, Poochatti and Moorkkanikkara. The traditional Khadi Industry has its operations at Nadathara. Due to its proximity to Thrissur City and also the presence of National Highway made this place economically advanced. Nadathara is likely to benefit immensely from the four laning of National Highway 47.
