Nacional Atlético Clube, usually known simply as Nacional, is a Brazilian football team, from the city of São Paulo, São Paulo state.

On February 16, 1919, Nacional Atlético Clube was founded [1] by São Paulo Railway Company employees. The club was named São Paulo Railway Atlético Clube. [2] [3]
In 1936, the club joined the Paulista Football League, disputing that year's Campeonato Paulista. The club finished in the 9th position. [2]
In 1939, São Paulo Railway finished in Campeonato Paulista's 4th position, only behind Corinthians, Palestra Itália and Portuguesa. [2]
In 1943, SPR won their first tournament, winning the Torneio Início Paulista. [4]
In 1946, the club was renamed to Nacional Atlético Clube, because the São Paulo Railway concession ended. Nacional's first match with its new name was against Flamengo at Pacaembu Stadium. Flamengo beat Nacional 4-2. [2]
In 1972, Nacional won the Copa São Paulo de Juniores [5], beating Internacional in the final [6]
In 1988, Nacional won again the Copa São Paulo de Juniores, beating América (SP) in the final. [7]
In 1994, the club won the Campeonato Paulista Third Division. [1]
In 1995, Nacional competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, but was eliminated in the first stage. [8]
In 1998, the club competed again in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. Again, Nacional was eliminated in the first stage. [9]
In 2000, Nacional won the Campeonato Paulista Série A-3. [1]. The club also competed in the Copa João Havelange White Module and was eliminated in the first stage. [10]
